SIERRA NEVADA IMPRESSIONS

When painting landscapes, flora, fauna or figuratively I look for the essence and let it guide me. My stippled, sprayed or dabbed brush marks become smaller and denser on each layer. My authentic contemporary approach reminiscent of pointillism lets the paint dots and circles interact optically to form shapes and colors. Leaving the hollow outlines of my brush marks results in a semi-translucent tapestry where previous layers are revealed.
